This morning on a webinar from Brilliant Solutions that some of us “attend” every Monday, we learned we could use dōTERRA’s On-Guard Foaming Hand Wash to take stains out of a carpet. We ran and tried it and it worked really well!

Who would have guessed you could clean your carpet with a product that contains essential oils – five of them, in fact!!

on-guard-hand-wash

On Guard Foaming Hand Wash contains On Guard essential oil, a blend created by doTERRA.  On Guard is composed of the essential oils of wild orange, cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, and rosemary.  Although it was not designed with carpets in mind, it works amazingly well.  Another attendee at the webinar mentioned that she used the general On Guard Cleaner in her carpet cleaner and loves it.  I am going to try that for an overall rug scrub (one of these days!!)

doTERRA also came up with an amazing concept for a laundry detergent. Since the company is dedicated to natural products that do not compromise our health, it took three years to develop the detergent. (It is getting some three-year old stains out of my life!! LOL)

Guess what? The product contains the same types of enzymes one would take to promote healthy digestion!!! You got it -amylase, protease, etc. How cool is that? And how brilliant!!on-guard-laundry detergent

Oh, and there is a slide on the right side of the screen that allows you to choose the pages by clicking thumbnails of the page.

Here is another Living Magazine that offers a Medicine Cabinet Makeover on pages 16-17. And on pages 20-21 there is a great guide to Super Immunity with a number of the great products that contain On Guard essential oil. And finally, speaking of Super Immunity, here is a link to the doTERRA blog article on the same topic, just a different format. Enjoy!

And here is another post about great summer oils in general.

Essential Oils for the Outdoors
1. Lemon–after you catch THE fish, add some lemon oil to it while grilling it. YUM.
2. Lavender–chances are someone in the group will get a bit sunburned. Lavender soothes sun-stressed skin.
3. TerraShield–yes, there are bugs in the outdoors. TerraShield will keep the critters away :)
4. On Guard wipes–showers are a luxury, and may not be accessible at your campsite. It helps to at least be able to wipe the dirt off hands and feet.
5. Melaleuca–this anti-fungal oil is always useful to have on hand. Using tweezers to remove splinters? Disinfect them with melaleuca oil.
6. Frankincense–for any emergencies (cuts, bruises, bleeding), this is the oils to use!

And finally, here is a great post on the doTERRA blog about using CPTG (Certified Pure Therpeutic Grade) essential oils on your pets.
